LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Exclusive DLC Drops Next Week

In case you needed an added incentive to get LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens on PlayStation platforms, Traveller’s Tales has just announced that PS4 and PS3 will be getting some free DLC content with the Droid Character Pack set to be released at launch, which is June 28.

You can check out the DLC in the trailer above.

The droids included in the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens DLC pack are:

R5-D4 (or “Red”) – the droid that Luke Skywalker purchased in the original Star Wars film instead of R2-D2 until a malfunctioning motivator set into motion all of the events we now know to have shaped the Star Wars galaxy!

IG-88 – the chrome bounty hunter droid fans will remember from Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back who carries with him a unique heavy blaster rifle, capable of tracking down his foes.

Captain Battle Droid, Super Battle Droid, and Captain Commando Droid –  Players will get to use Battle Droids from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series

General Grievous (Battle Droid) – Equipped with his iconic lightsabers and a host of combat maneuvers, he’s every bit as fearsome a foe as what you’ve seen in theater and on television

ME-8D9 andW1-LE –  Protocol droids offer more civilized methods to deal with conflicts, able to talk their way through situations. Fans might recognize ME-8D9 from Maz Kanata’ castle in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and W1-LE, Lando Calrissian’s personal droid featured in Star Wars: Rebels, the animated series.

Finally, a Vulture-class droid starfighter will be available for players to use in flight levels, and as well as a Microfighter version that players can use to speed around the different free play areas.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be out this June 28.
