Report – Batman: Return to Arkham Scheduled for November 2016 Release at the Earliest

Last month, Warner Bros announced that Batman: Return to Arkham for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One had been delayed indefinitely to give Chinese developer Virtuous Games “additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.”

Now, according to Eurogamer sources, Batman: Return to Arkham is currently scheduled for a November 2016 release at the earliest. However, there’s a chance it won’t be ready in time for November, and if that’s the case, expect it in early 2017.

As the report adds, the reason for the initial delay is due to concerns over the quality of the port, with frame-rate highlighted as a major issue.

When Eurogamer asked Warner Bros for a comment, the company responded with the same statement as last time, saying, “We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”

If Batman: Return to Arkham is delayed until next year, you’ll still be able to play Batman: Arkham VR and Telltale’s Batman this year.
