Prey for the Gods Kickstarter Campaign Ends With $501,252 Raised

No Matter Studios’ Prey for the Gods has successfully raised $501,252 via 14,738 backers, which is well over its original goal of $300,000. Inspired by the likes of Shadow of the Colossus, Deus Ex, DayZ, and Bloodborne, the game initially required $600,000 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases but the developer decided to go ahead with the console versions regardless.

Of the available stretch goals, Prey for the Gods has secured additional animations, additional weapons, a Mac version, an orchestral score (recorded by live orchestra), and expanded environments (underground cave set).

In case you missed it, here’s an overview of the game:

In Prey for the Gods, you play a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must survive the colossal dangers that you encounter. To restore balance and reclaim the land from the brink, you will be faced with questions that not even a God knows the answer to.
