Ashley Johnson, who voiced Ellie in The Last of Us, has said that she’d be up for a sequel with the character should Naughty Dog announce one. Speaking to GameSpot, she said that she’d “totally jump on board” if there was to be another story with “Ellie or Joel or that whole world.” However, Johnson also thinks that the game’s story could stand on its own.
But you know there’s also a part of me that thinks, ‘Man, the story could stand alone,’ and sometimes we should just leave it alone. If they were to make another one, though, I would love to be a part of it.
Back in April, Naughty Dog confirmed that the studio was exploring ideas for the game but pushed it aside to work on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Although Neil Druckmann wants to “resurrect” those prototypes again, it won’t be until Uncharted 4‘s DLC is done.
