Firaxis Presents “XCOM Lost – What Happened?” Behind the Scenes Trailer for XCOM 2

September 22, 2016 Written by Keri Honea

XCOM 2 releases just next week for consoles, and developer Firaxis wants to help close the gap between the end of XCOM: Enemy Unknown and the sequel for those who haven’t played the PC version. Chances are, if you’re visiting this site and reading this article, you did not play the PC version and are eagerly awaiting the PS4 port.

The trailer above discusses the 20 years that have passed since XCOM: Enemy Unknown, how the aliens have evolved, and how the survivors have had to completely overhaul their survival strategies to continue on the planet. Art Director Greg Foertsch  leads the explanation in the developer’s diary.

XCOM 2 is a turn-based strategy game that is quite well known for stacking up the bodies of your soldiers you sadly named after your friends and family. It’s essentially the Dark Souls of turn-based strategy, and fans flock to it for its hardcore difficulty.

Who here will be picking up XCOM 2 when it releases on September 27, 2016?
