Hamster is now adding SNK Playmore games to its Arcade Archives library for the PlayStation 4. While all of the arcade games have been faithfully reconstructed for the modern console, the Archives support the PS4 system features, such as sharing screenshots and video, live streaming, and competing with others in online leaderboards.

Thus far, Hamster only has a launch window of 2016 for Japan. However, all of their Arcade Archive titles have crossed overseas before, and these will ultimately do so. The following five SNK games created for the Neo Geo console will be added soon.

  • Alpha Mission II
  • Fatal Fury: King of Fighters
  • The King of Fighters ’94
  • Metal Slug
  • Samurai Shodown

No release dates have been announced just yet. The games currently part of the Arcade Archives for PS4 include Castlevania, Double DragonBubble BobbleContra, Flak Attack, KiKi KaiKai, The Legend of KageMoon Cresta, Ninja-Kid, Renegade, Shanghai III, and Super Dodge Ball.

I’d personally like to see Midway titles be added to the Arcade Archive next. Who wouldn’t love to play the original Gauntlet or Rampage?
