Overwatch Halloween Terror Event Has Begun, Junkenstein’s Revenge PvE Event Available

Confirming the previous leaks, Blizzard has announced that the Overwatch Halloween Terror event is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Running from October 11 to November 1, Halloween Terror is a brand new seasonal event that lets you explore the haunted streets of Hollywood, collect themed items, and participate in the first-ever PvE brawl, Junkenstein’s Revenge.

With Junkenstein’s Revenge, you team up with three other players and face off against a number of enemies, including Dr. Junkenstein himself, Junkenstein’s Monster, the Reaper, a mysterious witch, and host of shambling zomnics. You’ll be able to choose from the Alchemist (Ana), the Archer (Hanzo), the Gunslinger (McCree), or the Soldier (Soldier: 76) as you defend the Lord of Adlersbrunn’s castle doors. You can learn more about the story in the Junkstein digital comic.

Here’s the changes you’ll find with Loot Boxes during the event:

Starting today, all in-game Loot Boxes have been replaced with special glowing jack-o’-lanterns, and they’re filled to the brim with over 100 new cosmetic treats! As with our previous events, any Loot Box you earn or purchase from now until the event concludes will contain at least one item from our Halloween 2016 collection – including profile icons, sprays, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, skins, and more!

While the contents of each Halloween Loot Box are random, you can unlock a variety of these creepy customization options with credits in the Hero Gallery throughout the event’s duration.

Once you unlock a Halloween Terror item, it’s yours forever, even after the event ends.

Blizzard didn’t say when they’ll happen, but future seasonal events are planned.

Will you be playing Overwatch during this event?
