The Silver Case Remaster Comes to PS4 in Early 2017

Released earlier this month for PC, The Silver Case remaster from Grasshopper Manufacture is coming to North America and Europe in early 2017 for PlayStation 4, NIS America announced today. A PS4 price wasn’t given (it’s $20 USD on PC), but you’ll be able to pick it up either physically or digitally.

The first game from Suda 51 (Killer 7, No More Heroes), The Silver Case is a visual novel/adventure game that was only made available in Japan when it launched for PSOne. Fully localized into English, The Silver Case for PS4 “will be fully remastered while still retaining the same feel and atmosphere of the original PSX version from 1999.”

Here’s what NIS America says about The Silver Case:

In The Silver Case, you play as a member of the Special Forces Unit known as “Republic” with a mission to investigate the string of mysterious murders that plague the city. The detectives of the city have their eyes set on a man named Kamui Uehara, a legendary serial killer who went on a rampage of killings 20 years prior. Nobody knows who (or what) Kamui really is and what he is capable of.

A mix between a visual novel and an adventure game, The Silver Case is visually satisfying, artistic, and wonderfully engaging. Simply put, if you enjoy Suda51 and the fascinating creations he’s bestowed upon us over these many years, you will surely enjoy what The Silver Case has to offer.
