After reporting their financial results yesterday, Capcom posted a strategy document for the rest of the fiscal year today (ending March 31, 2017), revealing that they plan to “go on the offensive with global release of multiple major titles” and expand digital download sales for new and old titles.

Those major titles still to come include Dead Rising 4 in December, Resident Evil 7 biohazard in January 2017, and Monster Hunter XX in March 2017. According to the document, Capcom plans to sell four million copies (physical and digital) of Resident Evil 7 this fiscal year, compared to two million copies each of Dead Rising 4 and Monster Hunter XX.

Dead Rising 4 is only releasing on Xbox One and PC this holiday season, but it could come to PlayStation 4 a year later, similar to what Square Enix did with Rise of the Tomb Raider. If the potential Dead Rising 4 PS4 release follows the same path as Tomb Raider, expect the Season Pass DLC to be included.

Featuring data accurate as of September 30, 2016, Capcom also updated their list of million sellers. Perhaps the most notable title is Street Fighter V, which is at 1.4 million – the same number reported back in May, meaning sales have been less than 100,000 in the last six months. Capcom originally expected to sell two million copies of SFV in the first two months.

Do you think Resident Evil 7 will move four million copies in just a few months?
