Persona 5 PS3 Version Won’t Be Cancelled, Atlus Assures

Following the delay of Persona 5 from February 2017 to April 2017 yesterday, it appears some people thought it would result in the cancellation of the PlayStation 3 version in the West. Clearing up any thoughts of that happening, Atlus USA PR Manager John Hardin said Persona 5 will release on both PS4 and PS3:

To clear this up (again): There is no credence to PS3 version of Persona 5 being cancelled. Persona 5 will release on PS3 and PS4.

Over on Reddit, Hardin also revealed that the newly announced free Japanese voice-over DLC “absolutely [was] not planned from the beginning, including up until very, very recently.”

If you missed the Persona 5 livestream yesterday featuring English gameplay, it will be up on the Atlus YouTube channel soon. In the meantime, they’ve brought out some new Persona 5 trailers focusing on Makoto and Yusuku:

For those in Europe, the free Persona 5 Ryuji Sakamoto theme for PS4 offered in North America will be available on November 24 only.

Are you getting Persona 5 on PS3?
