LG Rolling Out “Solution” for PS4 Pro by End of November

If you’re one of the people who bought an LG 4K TV and picked up a PS4 Pro to soak in all that 4K and HDR gaming goodness, you might have experienced a little snag or two once you hooked it up (just like I did).

Based on my own personal experience, I could hear the PS4 Pro booting up on my LGUH7700 4K TV, but there was no picture at all. While the unconventional fix (which most people who own a Vizio also claim to work for them), is to boot the PS4 Pro in safe mode, go to HDCP and set it to “1.4,” or either turn it off in your PS4 Pro system settings, it’s not a universal solution. Fortunately, electronics giant LG has given a statement that a “solution” will roll out in the form of a system upgrade due later this month.

LG will provide a solution via a software upgrade at the end of November.

That’s all we know for now, sadly. While the number of affected TVs aren’t that plenty, it’s still a tossup whether the issue is the fault of Sony or the TV manufacturers. In case you’re encountering that “no picture, but there’s audio” issue, try the steps I’ve mentioned above to see if it works for your TV.

If you have a PS4 Pro and you’re encountering issues with your 4K TV, let us know in the comments! And if you know of a fix, share ’em below, too.
