2016 Gift Guide Accessories
KontrolFreek Destiny CQC Signature Edition
Check out our review . According to the Amazon product description, "KontrolFreek Destiny CQC delivers with two medium height (7.1mm*) thumbsticks and a hybrid convex/concave thumb pad that were chosen for their ability to handle everything from close-quarters melee brawls to mid-range attacks and long-range sniper attacks. Imprinted with the iconic Destiny tricorn logo and on a space-age silver thumbpad with a black stem, Destiny CQC delivers the comfort and precision of a convex pad and the control of a concave pad. Whatever your mission, Destiny CQC is your best Destiny weapon since the Gjallarhorn."
PRIF Powerpak 1
In our review , we said "I found that 9-10 additional hours of playtime were granted by the 1200 mAh PowerPak battery, making for a total of 18-20 hours when paired with the fully charged 1000 mAh DualShock 4 battery. So that claim seems solid, along with the 2.5 hour charge time. Prif’s attempt is lacking in the comfort department. Even if you can get used to the added bulk, which I did after a week of use, I was still left frustrated by how the PowerPak 1 blocked my fingers when pulling the L2 and R2 triggers. So in summary, it does indeed charge your pad and doubles your playtime, but it fails at being comfortable enough."
Scuf Infinity 4PS
In our review , we said "There’s no doubting that the Infinity 4PS is one hell of a PlayStation 4 controller, boasting a whole host of features that genuinely do enhance gameplay, and make gaming more comfortable. And with prices that really aren’t that scary, especially when you can send in your own for a big discount, I’d recommend that every PS4 owner checks out the Scuf Infinity 4PS."
Trigger King Xcaliber PS4 Adjustable Triggers
In our review , we said "Trigger King’s Xcaliber PS4 Adjustable Triggers do what they advertise, but the damage they cause, however minor it may be, needs to be looked at. If the screws could be covered with a protective layer of some sort, and other designs made available, I think this would make for a great product for anyone looking to customize their controller without breaking the bank."
Turtle Beach Elite Pro Tournament Gaming Headset
In our review , we said "If you take your gaming seriously or compete at the pro level, the Turtle Beach Elite Pro lineup is definitely worth a look. The Elite Pro Tournament Gaming Headset retails for $199 and it’s also $199 for the Tactical Audio Controller. Considering what you get, the value is there, but even better, you can start with the headset and build your arsenal from there. With so many ways to customize your experience, the perfect combination of products is really up to your needs – but the value is really a no brainer once you’ve given it a try yourself."
