Thrustmaster has today peeled back the curtain on its T300RS GT Edition racing kit, a device built with Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo series in mind.

Available for $399.99, the revamped GT Edition offers full Force Feedback, 1080 degrees of rotation, a brushless motor and contactless magnetic sensors to deliver supreme 16 bit precision, which ought to be music to the ears of you petrolheads out there. All of these features and more add to the level of immersion offered by the T300RS GT Edition, and as it’s being aligned alongside the release of Gran Turismo Sport in 2017, the rig will be compatible with both PS4 and PS3.

Per Thrustmaster:

Introducing the T300RS GT Edition, a device that takes full advantage of its official Gran Turismo license on PS4 and PS3 to elevate racing wheel technology to the highest modern standards and fully immerse players in the world of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital’s masterclass series of driving simulation games: Gran Turismo. The T300RS GT Edition combines the very best racing wheel technologies currently available on the market, a result of Thrustmaster’s extensive racing wheel experience that has brought the very best hardware to racing fans since 1993.

Still nothing to report on Gran Turismo Sport‘s release date, though we do understand Thrustmaster will launch the T500RS, a racing system “designed for competitive eSports in close collaboration with the game’s creator, Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi” alongside GT Sport.
