Now that the December 2016 PlayStation Plus free games have been revealed, Polygon has taken a look back at the year that was for PlayStation Plus members.

In total, the 72 games offered this year had a combined price of $1,175 (using the current regular USD price on the PlayStation Store). This is more than $100 higher than 2015’s total, but it’s nearly $175 less than 2014. Using the score from the lead platform on each title, Polygon says the average Metacritic score for the 72 games was 74.1, down 1.5 points from 2015.

Some other PlayStation Plus highlights from 2016 include: a $10 price increase for the yearly membership in September, the removal of Dead Star from the PlayStation Store after the servers went offline on November 1, the average age of games offered on PS3 was over five years old, June had the highest average age of games at 4.8 years, the highest-priced games were NBA 2K16 on PS4 and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Yakuza 5 on PS3 at $39.99, four of the games were for PlayStation Portable, and seven of the games were new releases (italicized below).
