Japanese Sales Chart: Yakuza 6 & The Last Guardian Help Keep PS4 On Top

After nearly 10 years in development, The Last Guardian launched for PlayStation 4 last week in Japan, debuting in 4th with 82,300 copies sold. But the big winner last week was Yakuza 6: The Song of Life for PS4, which held off Pokemon Sun/Moon and Super Mario Maker and opened at #1 with over 218,000 copies sold.

Thanks to the two big new games, PS4 hardware sales remained high at 82,200, keeping it at #1. While the rest of the systems in the top 5 saw a sales increase, PS4 Pro continued to drop, moving 7,500 units.

According to Media Create, here’s the 20 best-selling retail games, along with how each system sold in Japan from December 5 to 11, 2016:
