NieR: Automata Getting Dragon Quest’s Cypress Stick Weapon, Watch the Trailer

During Jump Festa 2017, Platinum Games and Square Enix announced a NieR: Automata collaboration once again. This time, the upcoming action RPG is getting the Cypress Stick weapon from Dragon Quest, a trailer for which you can watch above.

Once the Cypress Stick is equipped, players will be able to see how much damage they’re dealing in numbers and the appearance of treasure boxes will be changed to look like those in Dragon Quest.

Back in November, Platinum announced a collaboration with Square Enix to bring Final Fantasy XV‘s Engine Blade to NieR: Automata, which can also be used by its protagonist. In case you missed the announcement and trailer, head over here.

NieR: Automata is releasing for the PlayStation 4 (with PS4 Pro support) and PC on February 23 in Japan, March 7 in the US, and March 10 in Europe and Australia. For more on the game, check out our previous coverage.
