English Trophy List Pops up for Puyo Puyo Tetris on PS4

Released in Japan in 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and other platforms, puzzle game crossover Puyo Puyo Tetris appears set for an English release, with Exophase posting the full PS4 Trophy list this week.

Shortly after the Trophy list appeared, Sam Mullen, an Atlus USA Producer managing SEGA’s Japan lineup, said, “I’m literally just as surprised as all of you.” So, it’s possible SEGA is just prepping for the Puyo Puyo Tetris release in Asia on February 9, 2017, and it may not be coming to North America/Europe at all. If they do announce a Western release, we’ll let you know.

There’s 43 Trophies in Puyo Puyo Tetris, including a Platinum, and the three Gold Trophies ask you to achieve 100% completion in Adventure mode, pop 100,000 Puyos in completed matches, and clear 100,000 Minos in completed matches.

We reviewed Puyo Puyo Tetris for PS Vita back in 2014 and said, “Puyo Puyo Tetris is an example of a franchise entry done right. Its developers could have cut corners, but refused to; they could have slid by without the Adventure Mode, but didn’t; they went that extra mile to add value to the product.”

Meanwhile, first-person exploration/adventure game The Solus Project could be coming soon to PS4. Developer Teotl Studios said they didn’t have any plans for a PS4 version when asked about it last year, but a recent PEGI rating suggests it’s coming soon. However, the rating has since been removed from PEGI’s site.
