Hearing the news from a Ubisoft source who showed verifiable evidence, Let’s Play Video Games’s Laura Kate Dale is reporting that Beyond Good & Evil 2 (codenamed Odyssey) will be a timed Nintendo Switch exclusive for 12 months. Once the exclusivity is over, it will release digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The new Beyond Good & Evil game was officially confirmed to be in development in October, and Dale is reporting that the teaser is done and could show up at Nintendo’s Switch presentation event on January 12.

If the report turns out to be true, it wouldn’t be the first time Ubisoft has released a game on a Nintendo platform first. ZombiU released as a Wii U launch title in 2012, then came to PS4, Xbox One, and PC a few years later. Additionally, Rayman Legends was first announced as a Wii U exclusive, but eventually came out on numerous platforms.
