Styx: Shards of Darkness Gets New Trailer Ahead of March Release

Publisher Focus Home Interactive put out a new cinematic trailer for their upcoming stealth title Styx: Shards of Darkness. The two-minute video, which is titled “Art of Stealth,” shows off the world that players will get to explore in March. The game is set in the world of Of Orcs and Men, and has a traditional fantasy setting.

Shards of Darkness is a sequel to 2014’s Styx: Master of Darkness. PlayStation LifeStyle praised the original game in our review and rewarded a 8/10. Here’s what reviewer Mark Labbe had to say about the game:

Overall, Styx: Master of Shadows is a great game that completely took me by surprise. It is strategic, intelligent, and offers players hours and hours of sneaky gameplay. Although the game does have a cookie-cutter story and some goofy voice acting, it is a great buy for the $30 price tag. I recommend picking up a copy if you have ever played Of Orcs and Men or are a fan of stealth games.

According to the video’s description, the sequel takes place after the events of the first game. Styx: Shards of Darkness has the protagonist Styx attempting to infiltrate Korrangar, a city ruled by Dark Elves. In order to get into the difficult to access city, Styx must team up with a “diplomatic summit” that offers him a chance to sneak into the city.

Styx: Shards of Darkness is set to release March 14, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The upcoming stealth title is currently listed for $39.99 on Steam.
