Rocket League Season 4 Starting in April

The third competitive season of Rocket League, which started in June of 2016, has gone far longer than the first two seasons of the beloved sports title. Thankfully, the lengthy season is finally coming to an end. Developer Psyonix announced on their website that Season 4 will be starting in “early April.” They also revealed that Season 4 changes are tied to a future update for Rocket League, which means the date is still flexible.

As with previous seasons, there will be rewards for players that competed in Season 3. All players that have placed in Competitive Playlists will get “special Wheels” according to Psyonix. Here are the goodies courtesy of their website (click the link to see pictures of them):

  • Prospect I or higher – Season 3 Prospect Wheels

  • Challenger I or higher – Season 3 Challenger Wheels

  • Rising Star or higher – Season 3 Star Wheels

  • Champion or higher – Season 3 Champion Wheels

  • Grand Champion – “Season 3 Grand Champion” Title

The highest reward you receive is tied to the highest Tier you reached in any Competitive Playlist during Season 3. If you reached ‘Champion’ at any point in Season 3, then dropped to ‘Superstar’ or lower, you will still get the ‘Champion’ -level Wheels, along with Wheels for every lower Tier.

The studio ended their blog post saying they’ll go into details on Rocket League Season 4 changes closer to the start date, but they did release an image showing off the various tiers players can compete in. It revealed the following classes: Grand Champion, Champion (I-III), Diamond (I-III), Platinum (I-III), Gold (I-III), Silver (I-III), Bronze (I-III), and Unranked.
