The Moogle Chocobo Carnival Begins Next Week in Final Fantasy XV

Starting January 24, Altissia will be transformed into a carnival within Final Fantasy XV. Called the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, this special event will let players take part in various side quests and even take in an exciting fireworks display. Oh, and there will be all new outfits for Noctis!

In order to participate in the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, players will have to have a Carnival Passport. This can be obtained by downloading one of the game’s Holiday Pack DLC. There are two versions of this DLC (one of which is free), so make sure you download it in order to take part in the festivities. If you just can’t wait until January 24, check out the trailer that Square Enix released above.

The carnival will kick off the same day as the game’s next major update, which will add in new features such as selfies. Here’s what you can expect in full from the update courtesy of our friends over at Gematsu:

“Holiday Pack+” Updates

  • Moogle Chocobo Carnival opened
  • “Festive Ensemble (Noctis-only)” costume added
  • “Holiday Pack+ Exclusive” photo frames added

“Holiday Pack (Free Version)” Updates

  • Moogle Chocobo Carnival opened
  • “Choco-Mog Tee (Noctis-only)” costume added
  • “Holiday Pack (Free Version) Exclusive” photo frames added

“Self-Photographing Feature” Implemented

  • Players can freely take pictures outside of battle.
