Blizzard recently teased Overwatch‘s upcoming event, Year of the Rooster, which celebrates the Chinese New Year. While we’re awaiting details, it appears that the legendary skins arriving during the event have leaked out.
A Chinese player found the image below in an advertisement regarding a “free week.” It shows Zenyatta, Winston, Roadhog and Reinhardt dressed up as characters from a famous Chinese novel, Journey to the West. Posted on Reddit by a user named hythl0day, here’s what we’re apparently getting:
Zenyatta’s Tang Sanzang skin. (Sun Wukong’s Buddhism master)
Winston’s Sun Wukong skin. (The monkey king)
Roadhog’s Zhu Bajie skin. (The pig monster, another apprentice of Tang Sanzang)
Reinhardt’s Sha Heshang skin. (The river monster, yet another apprentice of Tang Sanzang)
Based on the image, there was also some speculation about the duration of the event, but hythl0day notes that “January 24th – January 31st” might indicate the duration of the “free week” and not the actual event.
