Mafia III Update Today Adds New Custom License Plates, Is 1.3GB on PS4

In the new Mafia III update today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, developer Hangar 13 brought “new custom license plates and additional car customization options.” According to players, it’s a 1.3GB download on PS4, and a 1.8GB download on PC and Xbox One.

The patch notes for today’s update were combined with the details for December’s update, so we’ve taken the relevant change and placed it below:

Car Customization

  • We’ve also added 20 custom license plates to the game so that you can show your flair when displaying some “NWBRDX” pride or paying your respects to “MRCLAY.” So switch up those gear ratios and get ready to race!

Hangar 13 added at the bottom of the patch notes for December’s update, “We were laser-focused to deliver this racing update so that you could roll into the New Year in style, but we do have more coming early next year. Namely, more customization and the ability to further enhance the performance of the cars in your fleet.”

Mafia III shipped 4.5 million copies in its first week and has lots of DLC on the way. Asked about the first piece of story DLC, Hangar 13 said, “The team is finishing Faster, Baby! up but we haven’t nailed down a date yet. We’ll let you know when we do.”
