Upcoming Overwatch Patch Will Fix Mei’s Waist Bug, Blizzard Confirms

After updating Overwatch yesterday, players discovered that Mei’s Luna and Chang’e skins brought some changes to her waist. Over on the Battle.net forums, Community Manager Lylirra said this is a bug and a fix is on the way:

There’s a bug with Mei’s Luna and Chang’e skins right now that’s causing her waist to appear much smaller than normal. We’ve already fixed the bug internally, but it’s going to require a patch to implement (ideally it’ll be included in whatever next patch hits your gaming platform).

Blizzard also confirmed that they’re investigating reports of D.Va falling through the map on Ecopoint: Antarctica after exiting her mech.

Discussing the Capture the Rooster mode added to Overwatch with the Year of the Rooster event (video above), Game Director Jeff Kaplan revealed that they’ve been working on a Capture the Flag mode since before launch. During development though, they actually gave up on it, “because we felt like what we didn’t want to do was add a bunch of rules that no longer made Overwatch heroes feel like Overwatch heroes.”

Kaplan later adds that Capture the Rooster will stay in Arcade mode during Year of the Rooster, and they don’t have any plans to add it to Quick Play or Competitive. However, if Capture the Flag ever becomes fined tuned enough, Blizzard might consider adding it to Competitive.

Overwatch is currently on sale through the PlayStation Stores in North America and Europe.
