Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has picked up nominations in eight categories including Game of the Year in the upcoming SXSW Gaming Awards. Other than GOTY, the game was nominated for Excellence in Narrative, Excellence in Design, Most Memorable Character (Nathan Drake), Excellence in Animation, Excellence in Visual Achievement, Excellence in Technical Achievement and last but not least, Excellence in SFX.
GOTY contenders include Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch, Arkane Studios’ Dishonored 2, id Software’s DOOM, and Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2.
Other notable award categories include eSports Game of the Year, Excellence in Gameplay, Most Promising New IP, Excellence in Multiplayer, Excellence in Musical Score, Excellence in Art, and more.
