Co-Op Platformer Shift Happens Comes to PS4, Xbox One & PC on February 22

Developer Klonk Games has announced that co-op platformer Shift Happens is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 22. It will also leave Steam Early Access on that date.

In Shift Happens, you play as Bismo and Plom, who share a common mass and can change their size and strength with the push of a button. Primarily focused on two-player co-op (local or online), Shift Happens does include a separate single-player campaign where you control both characters.

Here’s the description:

Shift Happens is a puzzle platformer focusing on co-operation and with great couch compatibility. At its core the game revolves around the “Shift” and the two protagonists “Bismo” and “Plom”. Bound together by accident, they can shift their masses between each other. If one of them shifts, they both change their sizes: the big gets small and the small one gets big! This core mechanic allows for challenging puzzles and funny interaction between the players. Co-operation and communication is the key to succeed. As an example of possible interactions, the characters can push and pull different sized crates or throw each other around.

The game consists of four stages: the laboratory, the forest, the canyon and the grotto. Each with a unique art-style and gameplay. Besides the multiplayer Shift Happens also comes with a single-player mode that has a whole different set of level content.

Features:

  • Build around two humans having fun
  • Local couch co op gameplay
  • Two different sets of levels for great co-op AND single-player experience
  • Fun and demanding jump’n’run levels
  • Find secrets and cash in
  • Beat challenges and unlock special levels

Previously scheduled for 2016,  Klonk “took the additional time to further tweak their masterpiece of pure Co-Op fun.”
