The Goonies, Harry Potter and LEGO City are coming to LEGO Dimensions in May

The next patch of LEGO Dimensions expansion packs are on their way and will arrive on May 9 in North America and May 12 in the UK. The biggest release of the bunch will be a Level Pack based upon Richard Donner’s classic 1985 film The Goonies. The other two expansions are Fun Packs, which includes a character and a vehicle, based off Harry Potter and LEGO City.

The Goonies level pack includes a minifigure of the beloved character Sloth, One-Eyed Willy’s ship, and a skeleton pipe organ. In Adventure World players will be able to explore Mikey’s House, Inferno Cover, and the Goon docks. Meanwhile, the structured level will feature Sloth and Chunk trying to escape the Fratelli hideout in order to continue searching for One-Eyed Willy’s treasure. While official pricing wasn’t given, Level Packs tend to be priced at $29.99 (although they tend to drop over time and several can be found for $10 currently).

The other expansions don’t include new story levels to play, but the Harry Potter Fun Pack will feature Hermione Granger and Buckbeak the Hippogriff. The latter figure can be rebuilt in-game into two other forms: the Giant Owl and Fierce Falcon. Hermione has some abilities as well, as she can cast spells in order to move objects and light dark areas.

Finally, the LEGO City Fun Pack will include a Chase McCain minifigure. McCain is the star of LEGO City Undercover, so this is a smart use of cross-promotion. It also includes a police helicopter that can be turned into a hovercraft or plane. Fun Packs are normally priced at $11.99
