Bandai Namco has released its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, reporting an increase in net sales, operating income, and profits.
Net sales amounted to ¥459,103 million (an increase of 8 percent from the same period last year), operating income totals ¥60,160 million (an increase of 32.9 percent), and profits stood at ¥46,503 (up 34.3 percent from the same period last year).
The report also offers a breakdown by business segments, showing that the comapny’s Toys and Hobby segment (which includes Mobile Suit Gundam, Dragon Ball, Yo-kai Watch and others) saw an increase in net sales as well as operating income. Bandai Namco’s Network Entertainment segment also performed well.
Unsurprisingly, net sales and operating income breakdowns by regions show that Japan continues to be the company’s top market. However, performance in other regions has been favorable as well, with the Americas coming out on top.
Looking forward, Bandai Namco is set to release Tekken 7 for consoles and PC this June.
