Frederator Studios, the company behind the recently announced Castlevania series for Netflix, has picked up Double Fine’s Costume Quest for Amazon. In a blog post announcing its first project with the online giant, Frederator said that the team is “truly happy” about it but has saved details for another blog post. However, we’ve been told that the cartoon will be out sometime next year.

The blog post went on to thank a number of people including Double Fine’s Tim Schafer and Greg Rice alongside the original creator of the world, Tasha Sounart. “Thanks to Pat McHale for coming on board to direct that initial short. Pre-production artists included Bob Flynn, JoJo Baptista, Aymeric Kevin, Ryan Andrews, Joe McGrory, Mira Lark Crowell, Larry Leichliter, and Wendy Jacobsmeyer,” the post continues. “We’ve much appreciation for Digital eMation, Inc., which handled the animation, and Salami Studios (with Thomas J. Maydeck, C.A.S.), the studio which oversaw the post-production.”
