Resident Evil 7 Update 1.02 Adds DLC Support, New Trophies

In preparation for tomorrow’s Banned Footage Vol. 2 DLC, which will cost $14.99 USD if you don’t have the Season Pass, Capcom has released Resident Evil 7 update 1.02 on PlayStation 4.

According to the PS4’s Update History, here’s the patch notes for update 1.02: “now supports add-ons, new Trophies added, fixed certain bugs and issues.” Players didn’t say how big of a download the new update is.

It looks like Banned Footage Vol. 2 includes eight new Trophies to unlock. Three of them ask you to complete 21 on different difficulties, while another asks you to get an S rank or higher on all stages in Jack’s 55th birthday. You can see the full spoiler-filled Trophy list over here.

Banned Footage Vol. 2 comes with two tapes – 21 and Daughters – and a “comical extra game mode,” Jack’s 55th Birthday. Jack’s 55th Birthday doesn’t support PlayStation VR.

Resident Evil 7 has shipped more than three million copies since launch last month. The current player total (only counts those who enabled the in-game data transmission option) is at 1.37 million, while the VR user total is at 129,000.

Xbox One and PC will get both pieces of Banned Footage DLC on February 21.
