Sony has announced that a PlayStation 4 free multiplayer week will begin this Friday, February 17 in North America, and a PS4 free multiplayer event will begin this Wednesday, February 22 in Europe.
Allowing you to access the online multiplayer modes in any PS4 game, regardless of whether or not you have a PlayStation Plus subscription, the free multiplayer week in North America runs from Friday, February 17 at 12:01am PT until Thursday, February 23 at 11:59pm PT. In Europe, the free multiplayer event runs from Wednesday, February 22 at 10am until Sunday, February 26 at 11:59pm.
“Hop on to PSN during the free week with your favorite multiplayer game — no membership commitment is required during this period,” PlayStation Plus North America’s James Hallahan said.
If you decide to become a PlayStation Plus member, subscriptions cost $9.99 USD/£5.99 for a month, $24.99 USD/£14.99 for three months, and $59.99 USD/£39.99 for 12 months. A 14-day trial (NA, EU) is also available for new subscribers. By becoming a member, you’ll have access to the titles in the Instant Game Collection.
As of April 2016, there were nearly 21 million PlayStation Plus subscribers.
