Injustice 2 director Ed Boon has confirmed on Twitter that the game’s closed beta will shut down on Tuesday, February 21. He also reiterated in response to several fans that NetherRealm Studios will not be able to conduct an open beta.
In a post on its website, WB Games thanked those who participated, stating that the developers will now be taking their time to implement the necessary changes. However, the team hasn’t yet revealed what aspects are being changed or improved. “We received a great deal of data that will help make the launch of our online modes the best they can be,” reads the post.
In related news, the next Injustice 2 character will be revealed on Thursday, February 23. Earlier this week, Swamp Thing was added to the game’s roaster and a trailer confirmed Catwoman and Cheetah.
Injustice 2 comes out on May 16 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
