Horizon Zero Dawn Gets Detailed Technical Analysis Outlining Strengths and Weaknesses

February 25, 2017Written by Zarmena Khan

Following some initial impressions, Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry has released its full, comprehensive technical analysis of Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn ahead of the game’s release, outlining its strengths and weaknesses from a graphical standpoint. Echoing its initial impressions, the outlet concluded that “Guerrilla’s level of technical accomplishment is sensational.”

However, as with other major releases, the team also outlined some areas of improvement. It finds that the AI can be a little unrealistic at times, lip syncing can be a little off, there are some camera positioning issues, and some anisotropic filtering issues on the standard PlayStation 4, among other minor problems.

That said, Digital Foundry notes that the achievements far outweigh the areas in need of improvement, which can be fixed.
