According to SuperData, the global digital games market in January 2017 rose 9.8% year-over-year to $7.47 billion. The two categories with the most growth were digital console (up 32%) and premium PC (up 34%), while the digital console market in the United States rose 43%.

Here’s the top ten grossing console games by worldwide digital revenue for January 2017:

  1. FIFA 17
  2. Grand Theft Auto V
  3. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  4. ARK: Survival Evolved
  5. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  6. Battlefield 1
  7. Star Wars Battlefront
  8. Destiny
  9. NBA 2K17
  10. Madden NFL 17

Offering up some details on the console top 10, SuperData said Grand Theft Auto V sales in January 2017 were up from January 2016, and GTA Online grew year-over-year. They also highlighted ARK: Survival Evolved, calling it “an unusual standout on the AAA-publisher-heavy top 10 console list” that continued to rise in January.

Things weren’t as positive for Infinite Warfare though, with sales down 41% from Black Ops 3 in the same month year. SuperData adds, “This was partially offset by another month of solid average selling price growth thanks to continued sales of the Modern Warfare bundle.”
