Tekken 7’s Post-Launch DLC Will Include Two Exclusive Playable Guest Characters

Bandai Namco has announced that Tekken 7 will receive two exclusive playable guest characters from other video games’ licenses as post-launch DLC. They didn’t provide any details on who the characters might be, just that the previously announced Akuma isn’t one of them.

Here’s what you can expect from Tekken 7’s three post-launch DLC packs, which are included in the Season Pass:

First Batch (Summer 2017)

  • Brand-new game mode
  • More than 50 new costumes

Second Batch (Winter 2017)

  • One exclusive playable guest character from another video game license
  • A special stage and special costumes for the guest character

Third Batch (Spring 2018)

  • One exclusive playable guest character from another video game license
  • A special stage and special costumes for the guest character

If you buy the Season Pass, which is included in the $84.99 USD Deluxe Edition, you’ll also receive 35 exclusive metallic costumes. If you don’t buy the Season Pass, all three DLC packs can be purchased separately (standalone prices TBA).

“During the coming year, all players from all platforms will also enjoy free character panels they will be able to use to customize their favorite character’s image displayed during the loading screen,” Bandai Namco adds. “Through a partnership with various worldwide artists, each player will have their own way to defy their friends and rivals! Stay tuned for more info!”

Tekken 7 releases on June 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
