Mass Effect Andromeda Animations Won’t Be Addressed Before Launch

With EA Access and Origin Access subscribers getting access to Mass Effect Andromeda this week, and more and more gameplay videos going live, people have called attention to some of the in-game animations and bugs they’ve seen (beware of spoilers in the above video). Producer Michael Gamble even addressed some of the feedback, saying, “We appreciate the critiques (and memes!), but I am very happy to see how much y’all like the game after 10 hours… and… it gets even better.”

Asked if the animations would be improved in time for launch, Lead Designer Ian Frazier said no, but something could happen post-launch:

Frazier says the same is true for the character creator:

The day one patch for Mass Effect Andromeda is already included in the early access version on Xbox One and PC, and it’s already available on PlayStation 4. According to the patch notes for update 1.03, it includes quest balancing, bug fixes and stability improvements, improvements to quest tracking and waypoints, improvements to many cinematics, conversations, and other character interactions, and more.

As the Xbox Games Store confirmsMass Effect Andromeda will have multiplayer micro-transactions that range from $5 USD to $100 USD and give you 500 to 12,000 Andromeda Points. The description explains that Andromeda Points “can be used instead of the earned in-game currency to obtain new Multiplayer packs, which contain items used in the Multiplayer mode.”

Mass Effect Andromeda comes out on March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
