Featuring all of the tracks and ships from WipEout HD, WipEout HD Fury, and WipEout 2048WipEout Omega Collection is releasing on June 6 in North America and June 7 in Europe for PlayStation 4, priced at £29.99/$39.99 USD/$49.99 CAD, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today.

Running at 1080p on PS4 and dynamic 4K on PS4 Pro, targeting 60 frames-per-second on both systems, WipEout Omega Collection also includes fully remastered sound effects and the addition of 28 licensed music tracks from artists like Swedish House Mafia, Chemical Brothers, and The Prodigy.

The PlayStation Store description for the Omega Collection talks about some of the visual improvements:

We have been able to take advantage of the power and memory bandwidth of PS4 to rework all textures in the game. Compared to the original games, textures are now clear when viewed up close: you can even read some of the small text on the ships for the first time. As well as a host of improved graphical effects we have also added in HDR which massively improves contrast to what was seen before.

Sony XDev Senior Producer John McLaughlin touched on what else you can expect from the collection:

In WipEout Omega Collection, you’ll be able to race across 9 different modes, including tournaments, speed laps, time trials, Zone mode, and of course career mode. Plus, a full racebox mode will an absolute treat for WipEout fans looking to tweak and customize their own races.

If you are new to WipEout, where have you been? Join the Anti-Gravity league and play with your friends, either with split screen local multiplayer, or race online with up to 8 Anti-Gravity Racing league pilots

WipEout Omega Collection will be available from physical and digital retailers. If you buy it from the PlayStation Store, you’ll receive a bonus ship and either four Avatars (North America only) or a digital artbook (Europe only). Pre-ordering through the PlayStation Store also gets you a dynamic theme.
