If you don’t want to watch the full video above about why Digital Foundry thinks Project Scorpio is better than PS4 Pro (skip to 1:10 for the explanation), Eurogamer gave a quick answer when asked if Scorpio is more powerful than PS4 Pro:

Yes. Sony’s machine is very clever and produces great results in the right hands – and as ever, the quality of the end results depends on how well the software runs, not on waving numbers around. But as far as those numbers go, Scorpio has PS4 Pro licked. It will surely be more expensive, too. It’s a higher-spec machine in every sense, down to the optical drive that plays the new UHD Blu-ray format (not that anyone buys those). Microsoft uses the word “premium”, and you know what that means: $$$.

Based on what they’ve seen so far, Digital Foundry believes Project Scorpio will be priced at $499.99 USD when it releases this holiday. PS4 Pro launched last year at $399.99 USD.

With Project Scorpio, Microsoft is aiming to create “the world’s most powerful console.” At the moment though, PS4 Pro is the world’s most powerful console.
