Looks Like PS2 Games Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild & The King of Fighters ’98 Are Coming to PS4

Based on recent ratings by PEGI and the ESRB, it’s looking like PlayStation 2 games Red Faction 2, Stuntman: Ignition, Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild, and The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match are all coming soon to PlayStation 4. THQ Nordic is publishing the first three titles, while SNK is publishing The King of Fighters.

No release dates have been confirmed for any of these potential PS2 on PS4 titles, and it’s also worth noting that Red Faction 2 was first rated for PS4 back in November and Stuntman: Ignition was rated in February. Other THQ Nordic PS2 games that have been rated for PS4 in the last few months (and have yet to release) include Alter Echo, Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory, Summoner, and Summoner 2.

Here’s the description for Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild:

Get ready for the big waves, swift currents, and treacherous downhill rivers of watercraft racing. Inspired by theme parks and thrill rides, Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild offers an even wilder experience than the original with imaginative locales, surprising events, and a stylized look. The Splashdown series evolves with indoor stadium courses, a freestyle stunt mode, and a new technical time-trials mode. The game combines realistic physics and controls with arcade fun, creating a watercraft experience for all types of racers.

If you’re interested in picking up some of THQ Nordic’s currently available PS2 games on PS4 for cheap, be sure to check out their PlayStation Humble Bundle before it expires on April 18.

Also, don’t forget that four Jak games are coming to PS4 later this year.
