Marvel Heroes Omega Closed Beta Begins on April 21 for PS4

The Closed Beta for Marvel Heroes Omega on PlayStation 4 will begin this Friday, April 21, Gazillion has revealed. To gain access, you’ll need to purchase one of the Founder’s Packs (prices TBA), which include the Avengers Founder’s Pack, Deadpool Founder’s Pack, Guardians of the Galaxy Founder’s Pack, Spider-Man Founder’s Pack, War Machine Founder’s Pack, and X-Men Founder’s Pack.

Gazillion explains:

Players interested in joining the PlayStation 4 closed beta for Marvel Heroes Omega can select from a variety of Founder’s Packs for sale on the PlayStation Store to secure continued closed beta access – and can be purchased online via the [official PlayStation Store website], through the PlayStation 4 console, or on the official Marvel Heroes Omega [website]. As an added bonus to everyone who takes the time to participate, all closed beta players, regardless of whether or not they purchased a Founder’s Pack, can look forward to receiving Daredevil, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, for free.

If you’re a PlayStation Plus member, you’ll find a free Man Without Fear costume for Daredevil during the Closed Beta, as well as discounts on in-game currency purchases and other limited-time exclusive access to select Heroes.

According to GameSpot, the console version of Marvel Heroes Omega includes local co-op, allowing you and a friend to play together.

A player wipe is scheduled to happen near the end of the Closed Beta. “Player progress will be reset along with any Eternity Splinter purchases, but any Gs purchased will be returned once Marvel Heroes Omega hits open beta,” Gazillion adds. The Open Beta, which will be free-to-play, is scheduled to begin this spring.

Marvel Heroes Omega will have 38 heroes at launch. Iron Fist and War Machine will be exclusive to the Founder’s Pack for six months.
