This year’s Capcom Pro Tour is already well underway with over half a dozen tournaments under the tour already concluded and it looks like Capcom has more in store for both fans of the CPT and Street Fighter V with the announcement of new CPT-themed DLC as well as a CPT 2017 Premier Pass.
According to the announcement, Capcom will be releasing several Capcom Pro Tour-themed content for Street Fighter V including Capcom Cup Collection costumes for Ryu and Ken, a Champion’s Choice costume, and a new Capcom Pro Tour Stage. The company has already revealed what the Capcom Cup Collection costumes for Ryu and Ken look and will unveil the rest of the DLC at a later date.
The company also announced the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass, which is basically a season pass for all CPT 2017 DLC. The Premiere Pass will include all the aforementioned CPT-themed DLC and will also include two titles, PS4-exclusive one CPT-themed color for all 28 characters, and monthly in-game targets that reward Fight Money.
According to Capcom, 80% of the proceeds from the CPT-themed DLC and the CPT 2017 Premier Pass will go to support the Capcom Pro Tour and to increase the Capcom Cup 2017 prize pool. The company did not announce a release schedule for the DLC but they did say that the monthly in-game targets would begin in June.
