Sony is reportedly offering a refund to players who bought a copy of Prey from the PlayStation Store without the 10 percent PS Plus discount applied to it. As reported by Gearnuke and verified by several users who received a notification, Prey can be bought with a 10 percent PS Plus discount but this wasn’t applied when the game was up for pre-order until recently, so those who did order early ended up paying the full amount.
Here’s the email that Sony sent out in this regard:
Thank you for your recent purchase of Prey. As a PlayStation Plus member, this should have been 10% off. We are correcting the issue and will refund your account within 3-5 business days.
We’re not sure if this issue occurred outside the US or not but will keep our readers posted.
In the meantime, let us know if you ran into this problem and/or received an email from Sony.
