Japanese Sales Chart: NieR Automata Was the #1 PS4 Game During Golden Week

Golden Week belonged to Nintendo, with nine of the top 10 best-selling games for the week either available on Switch or 3DS. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch held onto #1, moving another 90,700 copies and bringing its two-week total to over 375,000.

The #1 PlayStation 4 game during the week was NieR: Automata, which placed in 10th and sold 7,245 copies (up from 6,168 the previous week). Automata’s lifetime total now sits at more than 320,000.

As for hardware, Nintendo Switch fell by nearly 29,000 units week-on-week, but it still managed to finish in first. PS4 sales rose by about 2,000, putting it in second place.

According to Media Create, here’s the 20 best-selling retail games, along with how each system sold in Japan from May 1 to 7, 2017:
