Zombie Shooter Arizona Sunshine Comes to PSVR in June 2017

A virtual reality zombie shooter, Arizona Sunshine is releasing digitally for PlayStation VR in June 2017, Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive announced today. It released on PC in December 2016 and grossed more than $1.4 million in its first month.

A “full-feature game that puts you in the middle of a zombie apocalypse as if you were there,” Arizona Sunshine includes a solo campaign, co-op campaign, and an endless multiplayer Horde mode for up to four players. In the campaign, you’ll explore southwestern America in search of other humans.

Vertigo Games Lead Tech Trevor Blom said, “You can freely explore your surroundings using either teleportation or locomotion movement, whichever suits your VR tastes best — there’s no spot-based gameplay to be found here.”

In terms of control options, you can use the DualShock 4, PlayStation VR Aim Controller, or PlayStation Move controllers. Using the PSVR Aim Controller or Move controllers will allow you to “handle your weapons, gear, and consumables with real-life movements: anticipate attacks, manage ammo, and aim down the sights to blast your enemies to undead pieces.”

Answering some questions on Twitter, Vertigo Games said Arizona Sunshine will be enhanced on PS4 Pro, and there won’t be cross-play with other platforms.

Arizona Sunshine is priced at $39.99 USD on PC. A PSVR price wasn’t given today.
