Need some old school shoot-’em-up (shumps) in your life? If so, you might just get your wish. Online retailer Amazon seems to have outed a game’s existence yet again.

Spotted on Amazon’s site is UFO Interactive’s Raiden V, which is initially released on the Xbox One. However, compared to the Xbox One version, which was only released digitally, Amazon lists the PS4 version (called Raiden V: Director’s Cut) for a physical release for $39.99, which will include the original game soundtrack. It’s listed for an August 22 release date, though that can be a placeholder for now.

Product description from Amazon:

About the product

  • Includes Raiden V Original Soundtrack CD
  • New ship damage system (uses health bar, not lives)
  • 3 distinct ships with different Defense, Mobility, and sub-weapons
  • New “Cheer Attack” that greatly boosts sub-weapons for a short time
  • Supports 1 – 2 players (offline)

Bear in mind that nothing official has been announced yet, but given the state of these things, it’s usually a legitimate leak.

Do you still play shumps? Can younger gamers hack this kind of game nowadays?
