Rocket League Update on July 5 Will Add a New Arena, Begin Competitive Season 5

On Wednesday, July 5, Psyonix will celebrate the second anniversary of Rocket League by releasing an Anniversary Update that adds a new arena, Rocket League Radio (which adds 18 new songs from record label Monstercat), Competitive Season 5, the Overdrive Crate, and more.

Here’s what to expect from Champions Field, the new arena coming in next month’s Rocket League update:

Champions Field celebrates the pure competition found in Rocket League, complete with a massive statue featuring our shield logo, triple-decker seating (a must in any modern sports entertainment complex), and enough stadium lighting to make your match visible from outer space!

This new, FREE, standard arena will be found in all Competitive and Online Playlists, and will be available in Private Matches as well.

The new Overdrive Crate will feature two new Import Battle-Cars (Animus GP and Centio V17), and other content you’ll find in the update includes new customization options like Engine Audio, Goal Explosions, and Trails. Psyonix also plans on adding new Trophies and Achievements.

Since Rocket League launched in 2015, more than 31 million players have completed more than 1.45 billion matches.
