Life is Strange: Before the Storm Gets a 20-Minute Gameplay Video, Ashly Burch Isn’t Returning

The first episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm releases on August 31 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but it won’t include Ashly Burch, who voiced Chloe in the original.

As Burch explained on Twitter, her absence is because of the SAG-AFTRA strike:

It doesn’t look like she’ll be missing from the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn expansion though:

The description says:

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is set in Arcadia Bay, three years before the events of the first game in the series. Players will take on the role of a rebellious 16 year-old Chloe Price who forms an unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber; a beautiful and popular girl destined for success. When Rachel’s world is turned upside down by a family secret, it takes this new-found alliance to give each other the strength to overcome their demons.

Before the Storm is a three-part story priced at $16.99 USD on the PlayStation Store. There’s also a Deluxe Edition for $24.99 USD that includes a bonus fourth episode, Farewell, where you get to “play one last time as a young Max Caulfield in a special bonus episode.” The Deluxe Edition also includes a New Mixtape Mode and exclusive outfit pack.
