Harvey Smith from Arkane Studios sat down to talk about Dishonored: Death of the Outsider on the official PlayStation E3 2017 stream. The 14-minute discussion is largely centered around the game’s story, and when it takes place. It’s also noted that Billie Lurk will be the only playable character, so those hoping to take on the role of Daud may be disappointed.
One key feature of Death of the Outsider is Billie’s powerful “Foresight” ability. If you’ve seen the game’s reveal trailer, you’ll no doubt have been wondering what on earth happened to Billie’s eye since the last game. Well, Harvey has some answers for you!
In fact, Billie has a thing in her eye, that leads to one of her powers called “Foresight.” I don’t think we’ve talked about that yet… Because she has a red glowing thing in her eye, it’s called the “Sliver of the Eye.” And it’s … a piece of the god that came before the Outsider. The “Eye of the Dead God,” people call it… So she has a sliver of that in her eye, and it gives her the power of foresight.
Perhaps it’s this power that will make her a formidable foe against the Outsider.
