Japanese Sales Chart: Strong Arms Launch Helps Switch Win the Week

The only notable new release last week in Japan was Arms for Nintendo Switch, which sold more than 100,000 copies and easily topped the software chart. Thanks to the big new game, Switch hardware sales rose by more than 10,000 week-over-week, giving it another 1st place victory.

As for Tekken 7 on PlayStation 4, sales fell from 12,460 in its second week to 5,407 in its third week, but it still managed to finish in 5th. Lifetime sales are now sitting at 76,600.

According to Media Create, here’s the 20 best-selling retail games, along with how each system sold in Japan from June 12 to June 18, 2017:

In terms of lifetime sales at retail, the PS Vita version of Minecraft is ahead of the PS4 version by nearly one million.
