Assassins Creed Origins Combat tips

Assassins Creed Origins Side Quests Will Show Quality and Narrative Value

To say that Assassin’s Creed Origins will be a different experience than the previous entries in the series is an understatement. The new title brings significant changes to the game, from its combat system to the introduction of RPG elements. And another aspect the game will be different is its side quests, at least according to Game Director Ashraf Ismail in an interview with Game Reactor.

According to Ismail, the team at Ubisoft Monteal, who are working on Origins, really gave it their all when it came to its optional content or side quests. Here’s what he had to say:

We’re about a thousand years before the first Assassin’s Creed. So, for sure, we play with that and we wanted not only to have a big world but that the world is constantly fulfilling your needs, constantly rewarding your discovery. We want the people who go off the beaten path of doing a quest to be rewarded by a discovery, a meaning, and so we fill the world with this kind of stuff.

We have a lot of surprises in there, a lot of it is optional content, we put a lot of effort into having really high quality optional content. The idea that ancient Egypt is mysterious, that it invokes this awe feeling, we wanted to feel that in the game.

So, we’ve gone overboard in making sure that there’s a lot of optional content that will constantly surprise the player, show quality, show a narrative value, show the meaning of why this was the place the Brotherhood came to be. We definitely play with that, I want people to be lost in this world and to be in awe of the majesty of ancient Egypt.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is set for release on October 27, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and other platforms.
